I finally finished my first table runner out of Simply Color, from V & Company. I am making a pair of table runners to top my dresser and chest of drawers in my bedroom.
I cut out 3.5 inch squares to make 9 patches and reverse star blocks in white. I made it as random as I could. I cut out all the 3.5 inch squares, put them in a bag, and shook them up. All I did was make sure that two of the same fabrics weren't touching. It was really easy and I love the results.
For the back I used the navy leaf print.
And here is the table runner in it's place on top of my dresser.

Blogger's Quilt Festival-Flower Garden
My second entry into the Blogger's Quilt Festival is Flower Garden, a wall hanging made with Tula Pink's The Birds and The Bees. I fussy cut many of the large hexagons.
The backing was pieced using some of the remains of the fat quarters.

Blogger's Quilt Festival-Tradewinds Quilt
The Tradewinds Quilt is my first entry into the blogger's quilt festival.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This is a throw sized quilt made using a layer cake and the blue yardage. It is the perfect snuggly quilt for my husband and I on the couch. I was able to fussy cut many of the elephants and center them in the 8 pointed stars. I quilted this on my home machine with wavy lines on the diagonal. I am still working on a pattern to publish via Craftsy in the next few months or so.
I am entering it into the throw sized quilt category.

Low Budget Review
Of course I had to whip up a fast little dress for Claire to wear. I purchased some smocked Ariel fabric and sewed a straight line to make it a tube dress. I added a few ribbons for the straps and I was done.
We saw all the favorites; Cars, The Little Mermaid, Tinkerbell, and Toy Story. And don't forget Mickey, Minnie, Donald Duck, and Goofy. The music was great and so was the skating.
We had a great mother-daughter date and if you have the chance, take your kids. They will love it.

Charming Patchwork Lunch Bag
Side 1:
Side 2:
For the inside, I used two different fabrics. I am really impressed with the iron-on vinyl from Pellon. I substituted it because I could not find Lamifix at my local Joann Fabrics.
You can also download the tutorial on the Pellon website.
